Does it need one?

For the eljayers among you, no, I'm not succumbing to peer pressure and giving my dear xanga the boot. I just thought I'd flirt with the other side for a change.

Wait---I have nothing to say.

How in blue blazes do I change the colors on this?

either use HML (a worth pasttime) or go to "rich text" and click on the little coloured capital "A" and scroll down.

I like how you spell "colored" the British way, you European pinko traitor.

WAIT! WAIT! I DID NOT MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!

How do I change the colors on the entire eljay? My eljay does not look nifty and I want it to look nifty, dammit.

hahah! all right, all right. first, go to the top browser thing, let your cursor hover over "manage" then slide the cursor over to "customise." click it, and it'll take you to a site where it asks you to "choose style system," which is pretty straight-forward. You can keep it on S1 (it's what I use and am most familiar with), the old system, or change it to S2, the newer one. Assuming you decide to keep S1, click the "modify journal" link directly under the heading "using S1."

The heading Page Layout Style it's pretty easy to figure out. You choose the type (you can look at various previews before choosing), and then you move on. They don't all have to be the same; e.g., I can have my journal have a "Generator" layout, but my friends' page could be, say, the default livejournal layout. Once you're satisfied with that, move on to Color Theme directly below it ( ... )
