I've been failing so hard at commenting on your fics lately -- mostly because I can never find the right words to tell you how amazing you are -- but I hope you know that I adore everything you do. I'll be upset if you don't know that, because I've mentioned it like twenty-seven times in every conversation we've ever had, I think.

This is still my favourite bit:

“I don’t understand,” and that’s the lynchpin, that’s what sheds light upon this entire anomalous, ridiculous encounter, at last. Sherlock Holmes does not understand.

I don't know, it's just. It's a truly significant bit of the whole thing, isn't it. I love it. I mean, obviously I love all of this, and all the previous parts and the parts you haven't even written yet, a lot, but that's my favourite bit.

You write Sherlock beautifully, you really do. And John, too, so don't give me any of that "I can't write John" nonsense anymore. You're amazing. ♥

Oh, wow. The writing in this is simply gorgeous. The rising tension as John and Sherlock work through what's going on is beautifully paced, with both characters being clever and obtuse in just the right ways, with no sense that cleverness/obtuseness is being imposed by the author for the sake of the plot.
