Lost Drabble Challenge 2010. Spoilers through 5.16 - The Incident, Parts 1 & 2.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot.
Author’s Notes: Another one inspired by, and never finished during, the Fic Battle. I'm kinda intrigued by these two together.
Rush
It’s the rush, just the rush of it; rutting against this nameless man, backed into the bricks on the hospital’s campus, high off a save he’d never dreamed of making.
The slow curl of chocolate on his tongue, stale-sweet and bitter, yet threatening; older than dirt and yet sacred, holy -- strychnine laced with sugar, makes it easier going down.
Jack comes; the stranger doesn’t.
What about you? Cheeks flushed, pulse throbbing; he feels like he’s sixteen again.
The stranger just shakes his head, turns to leave -- an Apollo bar wrapper sticking out from the pocket of his jeans.
It’s just a ruined pair of scrubs, in the end.
