Join new Fandom, but keep the old?

It seems like I kinda lose interest in our S/B fandom. I mean, I do love this pairing. I still do. Becuase it's the first fandom I really was into it and the first one that can keep my interest in for years ( Read more... )

I wouldn't personally drop anyone because they want to venture into other fandoms or want to take a break from the current fandom for a while. I know a lot of people who love more than one thing (Harry Potter and DC Comics, or Twilight and Marvel Comics, for example) and read/write/draw in more than one fandom. You don't have to be exclusive to one particular fandom ( ... )

I know it's not something new. But it's just that I have a weird feeling about it,you know, since reading fics and drawing S/B were a part of my routine. It's something I did everyday before start working ( yeah, I'm so lame, using PC at work to check S/B community every morning. lol. ) and after work.

I guess you are right though. I think I'll venture into other fandoms for a while and will try to draw some S/B art once in a while when my muses return. They're all gone now.

Glad to hear I will still have some friends left too! Thanks so much for your comment. And I hope your RL will get better soon! I know it can be pretty tough from time to time.

Hee! Thank you for your comment, my dear. I wouldn't hesitate to leave a com if I just joined it for a year. But I've been in this S/B fandom for like 3-4 years now. It's kinda sad that I suddenly have no inspiration to draw this pairing anymore. I surely hope one day I will....
At least I know some of my f-list will remain with me! :)

*hugs* I... have to admit, I kinda feel the same. :( I still love S/B, but... not as much as before. It's a really strange feeling, espeically since so much of my online life is tied up with the S/B fandom, so I do understand what you are saying!

But, you know, most comics people have at least a basic knowledge of Marvel characters too, so you might be surprised at how many people will comment on Avengers stuff you do. And I know that some people in S/B fandom are also interested in Merlin, too. So it might not be as bad as you think!

Also, when The Dark Knight Rises comes out - and the Man of Steel - you might well find that your muse returns for S/B. Or, at least that's what I'm hoping for myself.

*hugs you again*

How is Aslan, by the way? I've been meaning to ask for ages. Did you get a new horse, in the end?

*beams* Thank you, hon. At least I know I'm not alone. Your feeling is exactly the same with me!
And you may be right, I think I should get my muse back when these two movies come out this year. Can't wait to see them! :D

Oh, and Aslan is doing great. He's been such a good boy most of the time. ( Sometimes he's just being an ass. ) And last time I went to Austria, I didn't get to buy a horse because the seller was a bit tricky with us so we said no to the horse he offered. But I'm going back there again at the end of this month to look at his new horses. I hope he now learn to be fair with us. :)

Lassie! Since I tend to create in fandom rather than consume, I tend to friend people I like rather than just people in the same fandom so, unless you're planning on turning into a different person, you'll stay on my flist. :-)

Yay, glad to hear that my dear. I'd hate to lose my f-list just because we do not talk to each other much. And I'd definitely be the same person you know from the beginning. ;)

Alas, our Muses are fickle things! Some days you just wake up and the old loves are gone. :(

I'm a Marvel fan, too, and especially enjoyed all the movies, so I'll be viewing and commenting on those entries. :)

I will miss your lovely birthday gifts and entries into my Challenges, but the Challenges do allow crossovers so DC/Marvel is cool! :)

And who knows? The DC movies this year may get you all excited again! :)

Yeah, that's pretty much my feeling at the moment. I didn't want to lose my S/B muses. They were just..gone with the wind. :(
But no worry, dear. BD gift is still something I'd be more than willing to do for my close friends, and you're definitely one of them. :) For the challenge, I'm not so sure but I'll try to squeeze in as much as I can. lol. ;)

And you may be right. Who knows, after TDKR hits the theatre, my muses will come running back to me!

Muses are very capricious. *sighs*

Aww, thank you, Hito! I consider you the same. :) And I'd love to see you continue the Challenges. You're one of my favorite artists! :)

Maybe my Bruce/Jim Muses will come back to me after that movie. The trailer certainly looks promising for them! :)
