I had considered just setting up a redirect, but as it stands that seems like a waste. I have a couple of thoughts: most notably, scraping the C&G webpage for news and information while providing a portal for C&G alum. And then, of course, link off to the C&G website where appropriate for details and submission form info.
I'm just wondering if it would be worth the effort. And if it would primarily be an alum-driven source of gathering, I can't see how it would cause any dissent.
Now, if I tried to make it the premier website for Cornell College's active C&G community, that might cause some problems. And even as it stands I could allow for the webmaster to get access.
Couple of good ideas there. It would be easier to scrape information if we can convince Bob to program an RSS feed of the news section...shouldn't be too hard.
An alumni resource site could be interesting. Possibly handle things like meet-ups and other gaming resources. Allow for alumni profiles even.
If you were looking for help with something like that, I may be able to find some time as I find myself becoming intrigued.
