Not A Word
Had off on Friday since I had worked at my 'drop-out high school' last Sunday. Since I hadn't gotten my hair cut since July, I figured today would be a good time to face the wrath of the Japanese hairstylists. Managed to get the same hairstylists I did last time, so talking was a lot easier since she knew to speak a little slower and use easy vocab for me. Otherwise it was entirely in Japanese! Yay! Umm...the haircut? Eh, it's alright. I actually used wtf's girl sketch as a base model, but my stylist was a little too enthusiastic about the Japanese shaggy look (basically take a razor and cut down at an angle!) so the back is a bit shorter/thinner than I originally wanted. Then again, I always hate my hair when I first cut it, so whatever. Props to wtf for the art! Very cute! Too bad I don't look like an anime character... T_T
Also on Friday, I had the strangest urge to bust out FFX again. I remember about a month or so ago both wtf and vegettoex started playing the game as well. So....I'm just doing a quickie run through with the FAQs (hey, I didn't use them the first time and I apparently missed a crap ton of cool stuff!) and right now I'm at Mi'hen Road. Ugh, I'd forgotten how bad Tidus's voice actor was. I especially hate it when he goes into inner monologue because he just sounds so different from when he talks in real time. >.< Otherwise I'm enjoying the game again, although I do agree with vegettoex that it is taking a long time to actually "get into" the game. Even where I am now, about 6 hours in, the baddies aren't even a challenge yet. (Although I think there's one boss coming up soon that's gonna be tough). Bah, whatever...I should be studying Japanese. *sigh*
