Yesterday was decent. Though the rain jacket I bought at Walmart that claimed that it was a Large/Xlarge was mislabeled on it's tag. Either that or the company uses midgets for guages. So I got up at 6am for my job at 8. Caught an episode of House MD on my computer before I left. A bunch of the main guys went to a wind show to check out the latest windfarm technology. Now it's sunday evening and I'm back online. I got my wi-fi card installed and had to prop my case in my window and remove the screen (damn Faraday cage effect) to get enough of a signal to piggyback on a neighbor's access point. So I'm finally leaving, got almost everything packed excpet my computer and I plan to be on the road in half an hour. If you don't hear from me for a few days it's because I'm trying to get internet service.

I'm going to miss this place.

I'm still pissed at a system that rewards a "Out of money? Buy now pay later!" habit and shuns a "Out of money? Then suck it up and don't by that new stereo."

If you're responsible with money then you don't earn a good credit rating, you buy it. And the best anyone can tell me I should have started paying for one a year and a half ago ( Read more... )

Apparently, even though I'm willing to pay in advance, in cash or cashier's check, and will be setting up an automatic debiting system from my account that will have $49,000 a year going into it, I can't have my apartment today because I have no credit history.
