Chapter 17
“Kanna… Why? Why?! Why are you here?” Maye asked with a menacing
tone. The girl that she just called, winced, “3 days later, are you
coming?”
‘3 days later?’ thought Ayane.
Maye didn’t answer.
“Why?! You’ve missed the ceremony for 4 years!! You should at least
visit her this year!” Kanna snapped but immediately stopped when Maye
shot a glare to her.
“Who do you think that cause her to be in that situation?! Who have
caused all this to happen?! It’s you!! And now! You act all high and
mighty as if you cared about her the most! You’re the one who had caused
all this to happen!!!” Maye’s words pierced through Kanna like a
million of daggers. Kanna instantly looked down, and from afar, everyone
could tell that she’s actually holding up her tears.
“I might be the one who have caused all this but couldn’t I atone
myself for it? Is it wrong? Is-” Kanna’s sentence were cut off.
“YES! It’s wrong! If you hadn’t been so selfish and betrayed us all,
she might still be alive and kicking! You’re such an idiot! How can you
trust a person like him?! It’s so obvious that he’s a liar! Cheater!
Player! You trust a person like him but yet you can’t trust your
friends?” Maye’s tears started rolling down her cheeks upon remembering
the past.
Kanna softened her voice, “Gomen… I-”
“Stop! I don’t want to see or hear anything from you anymore! Get out
of my sight! After years of trying to erase those memories…” Maye
shouted. Kanna tightened her hand into a fist, trying to hold everything
in.
“Okay. But I want to tell you this, they found a letter. Written by
her and the letter was addressed to us. It seems like that day when she
died, was planned all along…” Those were the words that came out from
her mouth before leaving the café.
Silence….
“Ah! Gomen ne... I’m going home first. Happy Birthday Yama-chan.
Jya…” Maye uttered and ran out. Yabu followed behind her after saying
goodbye to the rest of them.

“Maye! Wait! Why are you walking so fast?!” Yabu called her from
behind which made her stop and looked back, shocked to find Yabu was
actually able to catch up with her.
“Why are you following me anyway?” Maye asked in a joking manner,
trying to hide her sadness. Unfortunately, she couldn’t hide anything from him.
Yabu smiled, “Isn’t it my duty to take care of you? Your father had
given me that duty and I must carry it out,” Maye chuckled, “Thanks, “
“So, are you going to Sayumi’s memorial?” Yabu’s sentence made her froze.
Maye took a minute before she answers, “Maybe… I can’t promise. In
fact, I might not even be going. I don’t want to face her yet,”
“Yet?” Yabu was stunned. What did she mean with the word ‘yet’?
“Eh? Didn’t you hear earlier on? They discovered the letter and I
want to see it. And also, investigate if possible, about the reason the
‘accident’ had occurred. She said that it was all planned out. What does
she means?” said Maye, troubled with the sentence that she had just
heard from Kanna. Then she pulled Yabu and whispered, “You’re gonna join
me in the investigation and don’t let a single word out! Got it?”
Yabu just nodded.
Meanwhile~

The other members turned silent as they were still puzzled by Maye’s
conversation with the girl they knew as Kanna. The awkward moment was
again brighten up by Hikaru, the entertainer among the boys, after quite
some time.
“yosh! Let’s continue the game and have fun!” he shouted gleefully.
The girls were still setting up their frown faces towards the group,
feeling sorry for Maye although they didn’t know what had happened
between them.
“ Maye’s gonna be okay ^^, Yabu will protect her whenever and in
whatever they are doing right now ne?” Takaki then followed Hikaru to
decrease the tension between them. He smiled.
The boys then tried to convince their girls to not to worry about
Maye as she was already courted with Yabu at that time. The worried
complexes and frowns slowly diminished from the girls’ faces and turned
back into their smiles.
“Then let’s have fun!!!” Ayumu jumped from her chair and threw her
fist into the air. Daiki smiled watching his girl smile again.
Ayumu spun the bottle vigorously, from the excitement she just
received after watching Daiki smiled at her, until the bottle nearly
fell from the table. Fortunately, Miharu had stretched her hands and
caught the bottle preventing it to break and destroy their fun!
The bottle was again spun in the middle of the table and lastly points at the spinner itself, Miharu,
Yamada then threw his naughty smile towards Miharu as he was the one who will ask the question.
“So! What’s it gonna be? Truth? Dare? Or lie?” asked Yuna, wanting to
know more about Miharu. Miharu thought for a long time for choosing
between Truth or lie. She definitely didn’t want to choose dare as she
already knew that Ayumu would throw silly ideas for the dares to Yamada.
“ummmm…. Aaaahh…. Lie! But no further questions! And no extensions!
That’s the additional rules for the game!” Miharu exclaimed after
thinking for quite a long time and tried to please the group and
fortunately all of them agreed (except Yamada, of course). She felt
relieved and nodded (nervously) and squared her shoulders showing that
she was ready for any questions as if she was going to go for a world
war.
Yamada felt troubled and limited after Miharu had added the rules. He
didn’t notice that time flew so fast as he was still thinking for the
BOMBASTIC question that will satisfy and answers all the questions in
his head.
“Your question thinking time will end in 5! 4! 3!..” Miharu teased
him. He was surprised and still haven’t thought of the excellent
question!
“2!~” Miharu continued. All his friends laughed looking at his troubled face and his girl’s idea for teasing him.
“Have u had your first kiss?” Yamada exclaimed for he didn’t want his
question to be invalid. ‘baka!’ he said in his head while hitting his
own head, regretting for asking the most simplest question.
“no!” Miharu answered the question as fast as she could so that no
one would hear it. All eyes were darted towards her. For that she knew
that her plan didn’t work and bit her lips.
“NO?” All of them asked her simultaneously, feeling surprised,
including Ayumu with her eyes nearly popped out, and especially Yamada
with his mouth hung open.
“When? Where? How?? And most importantly WITH WHO?!!!” Ayumu and
Chibi-chan, felt psyched, threw the questions towards her like a machine
gun firing its’ bullets continuously. Miharu bit her lips even more
harder. She then grinned which made both girls surprised at her
reaction.
“HA! I said the rules are no extension of questions!” She grinned
even more which made her look naughty and cute at the same time, Yamada
thought.
After yamada’s soul came back inside his body (lols.. -.-), his hand curled up into a ball. Keito noticed Yamada’s reaction.
“I see somebody’s jealous~~” he sang which made Yamada blushed.
The blushing boy grunted and started to spin the bottle. The boys started to tease him and laughed along with the girls.
Tease after tease thrown to Yamada, the bottle’s head had pointed towards the next victim.
Ren, who was in charge for the question, started asking him to choose between the three.
While Keito, who was enjoying laughing at his friend’s reaction,
didn’t notice that he was it. So, Yamada took the chance to get his
revenge.
“He chose TRUTH!” Yamada exclaimed while pointing his index finger towards Keito.
“EEEEEHHH?!!” Keito felt surprised as he just noticed the whole scene.
“so truth it is!!” Ren shouted while teasing Keito at the same time
for not letting him choose which one he wanted. Before Ren had a chance
to ask him, Yuto pulled her ears towards his mouth and whispered
something which made Keito didn’t feel easy.
“Have you had a girlfriend? If yes, tell her name, if no, do you have
a crush at this moment? If yes! Is she here? Yuto suddenly fired the
questions at Keito, who was still puzzled from the whole situation.
“HEY! I THOUGHT THERE’S NO EXTENSION FOR THE QUESTIONS! ” Keito
exclaimed. “and YOU! I thought you are the one who supposed to ask me
the question!” he continued while pointing his finger towards Ren.
She just smiled “I can’t think of anything and since he got so many
interesting questions, I guess he should ask the questions” she stated
and everyone nodded, for they were interested in his answers.
“Since when you two are in the same side?” keito sighed, he felt
troubled in answering the questions. ‘huhh, the world Is going against
me right now’ he thought.
“Since you revealed too much of my secrets” yuto answered Keito’s
unnecessary question and asked him once more. Keito suddenly blushed and
kept silent for a moment.
“BEEEEEPP!! Answer time’s OVER!! So I DARE YOU TO KISS YOUR CRUSH ON
HER CHEEKS!” Ren suddenly dared him which dragged him into more
embarrassment.
His face becomes redder. Everybody laughed from looking at his tomato
face. Eri laughed along with them without noticing that someone's eyes
were set at her.
“Ha!ha! laugh all you want, i'll do it when we're alone. Full stop! ” Keito then flashed through their laugh.
They teased him even more until they are tired to do so.
They wrapped up after all of them had a chance in the game. Some of
them gone back with their smile from ear to ear and Some of them gone
back in red faces, especially Kaori when she was dared to kiss Kei on
his cheeks. It was already late at night so the boys agreed to walk the
girls to their home. They all walk in pairs. (you know the pairs~ ;p
except Yamada and Miharu pair walked with Ayumu and Daiki pair)
Along their way, Daiki and Ayumu chatted far in front of Yamada and Miharu.
“So, who was the lucky boy?” Yamada hesitantly asked Miharu regarding the truth, lie or dare game.
“Hey, I am not going to answer that until the next game.” Miharu once
again teased Yamada. She enjoyed doing that to him. Yamada pouted which
made Miharu’s heart pounded faster.
“But don’t worry, it was a long time ago, when I was a kid” she
continued. Yamada’s pout changed into a big smile in the speed of a
bullet after hearing what Miharu said. He had the urge to hug her after
seeing Miharu replied his smile. But instead of hugging her, he
interlaced his fingers between hers, which made Miharu surprised. She
blushed and just let him hold her hands until they reached home.

Keito and Eri pair was silent as they walked to Eri’s home.
“You are from England?” Keito asked to break the awkwardness between
them. She smiled “yes, you too right?” she answered followed by a
question for Keito.
“Yes, I’m from England too” he smiled back with his most charming smile, which made Eri’s heart melt.
They kept exchanging questions and answers and talked about each
others’ life until they felt like close friends. They didn’t know that
they were just steps away from her house.
“We’re here” she stated as she saw her house.
“Wow! It’s big!” Keito was wowed at the size of her house, “may I
walk you to the door miss?” he said to her in English while waving his
right hand slowly towards the front and smiled. She nodded and started
to walk towards her front door and stopped when they reached there.
“Thank you for walking me home Keito” she smiled. Keito’s heart skipped a beat. He grinned his naughty smile before….
‘chup!’ he kissed her cheeks as fast as he could. “No, thank you” he
waved his hands on his way out from her home ground and left Eri frozen
while touching her cheeks where he just kissed.
