Music Box : Prologue
Music Box.
There are two most prestigious schools in the whole of Japan and only those worthy could enroll in it. These two schools are both single-gender school. Shounen Gakuen and Shoujo Gakuen, enrolling only boys and girls respectively. As usual, most people will think that the school have a student hierarchy where status means everything but in actual fact, it is similar to any other schools. The only difference is the advanced facilities, lavishing and high class-ed furniture and rooms. Not only that, the schools have large premises. The uniforms are similar to the normal ones except that the Shounen Gakuen had its uniform to be in grey while the Shoujo Gakuen had it in beige colour.
These two schools were built by a pair of siblings whose name is Joyce and Johnny respectively but the school is ruled completely by both together. Combining these two school, it will be the Zarakoshi High. The time when the females could meet the males and vice versa is when they were having activities or events. And because of that every year there will be an event called 'Box Of Music' aka BOM, where the female students could meet the male students properly - as in not just passing by and being in the same school club. While on the other days, they wouldn't meet at all. In addition to that the school is located deep in the jungle of South Japan. Hence, students were required to stay in dormitories. For the sake of convenience to some, the school authorities have decided to built a train station and only the students of the schools knew the stop. It's the last stop that will keep hidden from public.
The reason why the BOM exists is because of a story aroused ever since Zarakoshi High's history started. A couple decided to celebrate their 4th Anniversary of dating. They promised to meet at the cliff where they could see the full moon and stars above. But a turn of events, the cliff was old and was unstable, at the same moment when a light earthquake happened. The two of them fell into the sea and died but.
With their hands held tight and between the grasp of the hands - there was a small music box… that was meant to be given to the girl.
The event was created as a sign of respect and honour to both who stayed together right till the end. So, it's like a Valentine's Day but this day, is where they don't just give chocolate or flowers, instead they give 'things' or 'words' that is related to Music. And that's how, Music is a compulsory lesson for both schools.
