December: Luxurious day off and other updates

How pathetic is it that I have my first day off since Thanksgiving, and I'm ridiculously happy to be spending it catching up on housework. My goals for the day:

* Unload dishwasher. Started, but then had to run it again. (Note to self/husband: Don't run the mashed-potatoe dish through the dishwasher without throughly scrubbing it beforehand. It

Hi! You are in town!! I want to see you, too! You're here till the 5th, right? Or thereabouts? This weekend will be tricky--we're booked both days and Monday. How does next weekend look?

I don't think we'll be ready to paint by then--much packing and storing need to be done--but I welcome your company even if you're not painting. Plus, you know, there are boxes that could be packed or walks that could be (carefully) taken.

I may be able to take another day off next week or the week after, but I'm not sure yet. I'll have Friday off, and we have plans that night, but in theory I'm free Saturday or Sunday.

The 5th indeed!

Hm. I am, barring weather badness, going to be driving down to Indianapolis next weekend, though specific dates of leaving and returning have not been decided. That and Christmas Day in Milwaukee are all I have booked and I plan to not have many plans, so I can play be ear, so long as I see you sometime!

I would be very happy to do any help you need, and for walking. And my goal this trip is to not fall down, so careful is also good.

Let's keep looking at schedule? we'll make something work.

Thank you! I had one of those days yesterday where I feel like I grew several inches overnight. I think it's the mirror in the master bathroom--it's the only one where I can see myself from mid-leg up, which is kind of a surprise when I only look in it every two weeks or so.

I know, right? Three days later, I still can't quite wrap my head around how big it is, and how long it's going to be here and in that box until we can actually use it! There are so many intermediate steps between the box and the set-up, mattress-having crib.

Oh, jeez! I fail at answering comments! Here you are saying kind things about my tree, and we've already gotten rid of it!

Sounds like you had a rough holiday week. I hope 2011 improves for you. We had a pretty good one. Christmas was extended and tiring, but fun. New year's was much more laid back, and I actually got some rest and some stuff done, so that was good.

For the record, I am now two clicks larger than any of these photos. It's alarming.
