Oh, God, Leigh, the marks I'm going to leave on this kid just with my daily chatter. And that's not even touching on the deliberate parenting choices and their future impact.

Speaking of which, on a scale of 1to 10, with 1 being "wrong, but in an ironic and mostly harmless way" and 10 being "I AM CALLING SOCIAL SERVICES NOW," how wrong is it that I kind of want to add wings to this organ grinder's monkey costume and make my baby into one of the Wicked Witch of the West's winged minions?

OH MY GOD THAT BOOK. "This room is all I remember, its furniture crappy and cheap..." That particular stanza was my mantra all of August, while I lay in bed nursing 16 hours a day. LOVE IT.

That sounds about right. Have you seen the new show "Up All Night"? There's a scene in the pilot wherein the parents are all "We should probably stop swearing in front of the baby... but she's so fucking beautiful!"

I have not seen that show, but it may need watching. On the other hand, I live it every day/night...
