After Sam got out of hell, yes. And I wasn't thinking of a specific pairing, just sort of thinking about what Sam did when he came home after a hunt. Since, ya know, he was alone for quite a bit before telling Dean he wasn't dead and wasn't in hell. Did Cas see him during that time? I don't remember. But yeah, just something on what Sam did after hunts while alone.

He doesn't really do much at the end of the night, not really. Hit up a bar, have a few drinks, maybe let some pretty young thing follow him home. It's a little bit funny, or maybe it would be- he doesn't really know, to think that this newer, improved version of himself is more or less a glorified version of his brother. Maybe more of a dick. Maybe less of one.

It's exhilarating, though. The hunt, the chase, the sex. He thinks that maybe he enjoys it more now, because he remembers who he used to be. How the old Sam had gone dewy eyed and channeled Bambi every time someone got caught in the crossfire, how the fear had burned in his veins- too worried about whether or not Dean was okay to really enjoy that rush whenever he pulled one over on some creature. How Sam had loved. How he'd loved so much- so much, even the strangers he was allowed to touch. A day with a girl was enough to make little Sammy's heart go pitter pattering against his ribcage, a night with a girl nearly a declaration. And killing them- that werewolf girl in San

I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW that I kept getting the song stuck in my head every time I glanced at the title of this entry, and then just now I was playing the CD, and I got to that line right as I switched over to this tab. This is important.

FUCKING FINNICK!! As in, "I would like to be fucking Finnick, right now and always." I'm always such a giant sap for characters like that, and I love writing them, too. That Collins woman is evil. EVEN IN PERSON, SHE'S EVIL. In general, I really agree with you; Katniss has moments where I want to grab her by the shoulders and shake her and then slap her and then kick her while she's on the ground, but… idk, in general she's so determinedly badass that I let her get away with a lot of her Mary Sue behavior. XD

I am so jealous that you got extra credit for reading that book, you have no idea. It was so hilarious. There were so many points where I was just giggling into my fist, pretending that I wasn't reading about Jesus learning about sex through his best friend having sex in the stall next to his.

I WAS SO MAD ABOUT THAT. It was painfully obvious that it got to the point where she was like, "Oh, hmm, I guess he's no longer integral to the narrative, *KILLS*", and I seriously… I mean, there are times when character deaths add something to the book, and there are times when they're just obnoxious, and that fell cleanly into the latter category. There are also times when it's obvious the author kills a character simply because said author knows the audience loves said character, and it may slide into that category, too. TL;DR I'm still pissed about it. XD

Like, when I read that part it was like six in the morning, so it didn't really register at first. I was like, that's weird, why's she having flashbacks of Finnick, he went up first rig- OH MY GOD HE IS STILL DOWN THERE HE'S THE ONE SHE CAN'T HELP and just. I don't even know. Then the rest of the book was this big long thing that was pretty much psychological trauma after psychological trauma and then the bit about the last Hunger Games with the kids? WHAT THE HELL. I don't know. Mockingjay just made me really sad in general. Catching Fire is my favorite of the three.
