And I did have fun shopping, thankyouverymuch. Fun trying on all kinds of dresses, pretty and otherwise, and marvelling at the fact that there are brides who would force their friends to wear such things. Luckily the one we settled on was nice. I will wear it once--to her wedding--and never again, but I suppose that's part of the tradition.

I am so excited to try on hideous dresses some day. Bring on the sparkles, I say. Oh, and I want pictures after the fact. Hessica in a floofy dress will be awesome.

Believe me, there are already pictures. Sue brought her digital camera and took pictures of me & the other bridesmaid in most of the dresses we were wearing. For future reference or something, I guess. What's funny is that trying on dresses & then taking pictures is something that my sisters & I have been doing for years. When we were in high school we used to go downtown to the big department stores and try on all the fancy dresses. If the snooty saleswomen got suspicious, we told them we were shopping for a wedding. The circle is now complete.

Not too much partying planned, but a few of us are going to see Rent and have some drinks before the movie. Nice low key kind of birthday.
