Another random Scullybrother fact: He appears in Seabiscuit as the vet who believes Seabiscuit will never run again. But his professional concern for the great racehorse is proven wrong, as not only Seabiscuit but also his crippled jockey recover to win the Santa Anita Handicap! It's the inspirational story of the year as two hard-knockers defeat the odds and triumph!
(I didn't actually like Seabiscuit all that much. I thought the quasi-documentary approach was too precious, and the damn horse talked too much. What is it with movie producers thinking horses make that much noise? This is not to say that most of the slo-mo scenes of the horse galloping didn't make me tear up like the pathetic little girl I am, because they totally did.)
