SCIENCE! WOO-HOO! It's pretty fun to be in a place like this with 1,600 of your closest collegues. It's hilarious actually because you can identify people on the street as NAOC attendees by the binoculars around their neck. Ah, birders.

Also? One week ago today, the headline on CNN.com's front page was "Thousands Flee Toxic Cloud." Where was that happening? Oh yeah, ten miles from me. It was a very cool day.

And finally...

Today is 1013. 1013. Last night, I popped in one of my DVDs from Season 3. Without a viewing buddy (or two or three) and without the fuzzy fog of furious fandom, the show just isn't as good. I laughed. Then, I was sad, because I realized I will probably never again be as insane a fan of any tv show. Yes, you heard me. Never again.
