Right - Professor Snape needs us to do the Coagulation part of the wards. I have plenty of ideas but I can't really represent them properly without diagrams.
Meet me after tea in the harpy-target clearing. I've got to get more parchment.

I'm probably on the wrong track, but is coagulation the same as clotting, like blood?

That's exacrly what it is - a clot of blood is produced by coagulation of particles of the blood called platelets, the presence of which encourages another chemical in the blood to coagulate and produce a stronger clot.
