Feels kind of like X7 come to think of it, the gameplay was pretty awkward, but they put a lot into getting the chara/story and look-and-feel right.

For it being in such an early stage of development, it's showing a shitload of promise. Hopefully they'll be able to stave off some of the awkward, like a few of the animations and contact damage.
