Steve Irwin was killed by an animal while filming a documentary. Not what you would expect though. No snake, spider, crocodile, shark, or anything normally considered deadly. He was killed by a stingray

Well it is of course a jellyfish that is the most poisonous creature in the world... the box jellyfish or sea wasp. But yes, a clam would have been humiliating.

Well yeah, the box jellyfish is deadly but it's still the thought of being killed by a blob of jello.

Yeah, my first thought was, "This is a joke. A stingray?" I expected it to be a croc, or a snake, what with it being Australia. This is so sad :( His poor wife and kids.
