Back with my translations for the rest of the Sketchbook character notes at the end of Hikago's Perfect Edition manga. This covers volumes 10-20 (but note that vol. 15, 16, and 20 lack the Sketchbook and notes features).

Thank you for sharing these translation notes! Hikaru would definitely be so conflicted if YeongHa resembled Sai, and I'm very glad that idea was rejected :D

Hikaru's loss against Yeong Ha made him grow stronger in his beliefs to connect the past and the future. It was definitely a good decision not having him resemble Sai, because that probably would have had the opposite effect on Hikaru's growth.
Every year on the fifth of May, particularly when it's a clear day with impatient winds, I look up at the sky. Hikaru surely does this too.
This just so bitter sweet and beautiful ;_; ♥
Thank you so much for translating this, I really enjoy all those small snippets about the characters and Hotta-sensei reflecting on them.

Good point! Yeong Ha resembling Sai would have been distracting from the next step in Hikaru's growth.
Thanks for reading! Glad you liked it!

The comments about Ashiwara and Akira are pretty much exactly how I see their relationship. I'm surprised that Saeki beat Ashiwara in popularity, to be honest. I also never really thought about Ashiwara and Kurata being alike. Hmm, something to think about!
I have to say that I'm also glad she rejected the Ko looking like Sai idea. I feel like it would've devastated Hikaru and it just wouldn't have been good at all. A very good decision that she put her foot down on that one.
The comment about May 5th is great too. I'm sure Hikaru does. ^_^

And yes, Ko looking like Sai would have distracted from Hikaru's game and the storyline in general. Still, it was an interesting thought.
Glad you liked! ^_^
