Muggles were funny sorts - always congregating on the 5th or the 10th, perhaps finishing off on the 50th and then what? Well, typically they died. Muggles didn't live very long, did they? Anyway. Hogwarts just did not function in that way. The reunions were sporadic - each Headmaster or Headmistress choosing a year they felt was right to invite all

It had been so long, though, that Roger also found himself wondering what his daughter was going to think when she first stepped foot in this very room a few years from now.
Shaking his head as he realized how much time had passed and exactly how much his life had changed, Roger laughed and turned to grab a drink. He snatched one quickly and turned, stumbling when his shoulder connected with someone he didn't expect.
"Bloody hell." Roger laughed. He was a profession Quidditch player for Merlin's sake; he should have better instincts. "Sorry. I didn't slosh any on you did... I?" His sentence trailed off toward the end and there was nothing he could do to stop it once he realize who he was looking at.

"No, not these!" she hissed, whipping around. But then her hear skipped a beat and her eyes went wide. After only ten minutes somehow they already bumped into each other?
"Don't....worry about it..." she managed.

"I botched your shoes up, didn't I?" He shrugged. "I'll replace them? Or... something?" Of all the people to run into, he hadn't even imagined Lavender would be here. She never seemed to be around anymore and hadn't been for years. He was definitely going to have to have words with her brother; he was slacking in the friend department lately.

But then, she had a feeling her students wouldn't call out her misstep if she chose to prolong the return until the following day.
Especially when she knew that at least three were carbon copies of the same essay.
She pursed her lips in amusement as she scanned the crowd, her eyes searching momentarily for Riley. He never was when she expected him to be.
Marlow was about to step past a group of older wizards when someone nudged her shoulder.

Riley raised both glasses, clinked them together, and proceeded to take a sip from each, "I'll also have you know that if this is a trick to get me good and fluttered, it won't work. I shan't go home with you, for I am simply not that kind of girl."
However, it seemed like Parvati Patil was. When Riley had made the trip to the refreshment table, the Gryffindor Alum had wrapped her arm around him, sloshing a sticky, dark liquid down the back of his new dark green dress robes. She'd reached up to ruffle his hair, whispered some slurred secrets into his ear, then scuttled off. Some people, Riley thought, definitely peeked at Hogwarts.

The smoke from the drink wafted closer to her face and hit her directly in the eyes causing her to blink. She brushed the smoke out of her direction as she wrinkled her nose. Though now, as she looked down at the pumpkin juice in her hand, it did look startlingly mundane. She chewed on her bottom lip as she set it down on the table beside her and held out her hand for whatever it was Riley was now drinking. She supposed she could whip up a quick hangover cure in the morning if things really did get that bad.
"I'm not sure what you've managed to whip up but if you're going down, I ought to be there with you," she continued before she caught sight of his robes. "Did you roll around in the whiskey vat or just fall in?"

He turned, exposing the back of his robes to Marlow. While he allowed her a moment to work her magic, he scanned the crowd for familiar faces-- or at least, faces he actually cared to stay familiar with, "it's one of your pals that's done in. A Patil. Genuinely couldn't tell you which one."

But then again, his associates at work were coming, along with his boss, and that's how Daphne had really won the debate. How would it look if you weren't there? She was right of course ( ... )

"You're going to make such a great impression," she whispered to Terry, squeezing his hand tighter as they entered. It was no secret that Terry always made an impression but there weren't as many opportunities for him to show her off.

Terry's eyes searched her face, seeing how happy she was to be here. "So will you... do you have your business cards on you?" He gave her a little wink. "This is an excellent place for you to network." He couldn't be prouder of the success Daphne was having. He would love for her to find some new clients tonight.

Daphne pulled him over towards the bar and pulled two glasses of champagne for them immediately. It felt very strange to be drinking so openly after so many years of sneaking bottles into the common room.
"Do you remember our first dance here together?" Daphne asked, looking around.

Not seeing anyone she knew right away, Pansy made a beeline to the bar, figuring there wasn't a better place to start.

When she saw Pansy approach - a classmate she certainly hadn't seen in years - she found herself a excited to see her.
While they might have had their moments in school, Cecilia always held a warm regard for her.
"Well, well, well," she mused. "I knew I'd find more familiar faces around the bar than out there-" she gestured toward the crowd. "How are you Pansy?"

Pansy had always been slightly jealous of the relationships Cecilia had had with Draco and Daphne, but with her recent accomplishments she felt not in the least bit jealous and more excited to be able to name drop.

"Just as busy as ever, it seems," she said, before taking another sip from her glass. "The hospital is as understaffed as always."
She eyed her friend, noticing the excitement hovering around her.
"And you? I've been hearing your name here and there lately. What have you gotten yourself into?"

"What would our 18 year old selves have said if they could see this day?" She said with a small smile and a sip of champagne, unaware she probably looked insane to anyone around her, talking to herself.

For the life of her Zoey couldn't figure out why she actually bothered to show up.Sure, everyone was dressed to the nines and Zoey fit in better with that than she once had. Still, it's not like she hadn't made more than her fair share of enemies in her 7 years inside these walls. It was ridiculous, looking back, but she tried not to lose sleep over it.
Maybe Eddie would show up and she'd be saved from entirely too man awkward encounters. Until then, Maeve would do.

Pressing concerns dealt with, he began to take stock of his surroundings. As usual, the school was impeccably decorated, at least to Andy's tastes. Booze and backless dresses, far as the eye could see.
Strolling towards what seemed like the center of the room, Andy was stopped dead in his tracks by the sight of Zoey and Maeve standing next to each other. Instinct suggested he drop into a crouch, but he managed to avoid doing so.
Alright... there don't seem to be any scratches or bitemarks. Body language is neutral. Safe to approach?
....Fuck it.With the shit-eating-est grin he could muster, Andy snuck up behind the two. Pressing himself in between them, he placed his hands on their hips, and asked, "Excuse me ladies, I could swear that I was here for a ( ... )

Perhaps she would have said more, but there was another piece of history slipping in, and she rolled her eyes, even if she was also smiling. "Then again, maybe we've just all gone back in time. Always with the compliments Andy, you still never got that threesome though."
