Should I make my slash-loving persona disappear for a while? I mean, erase all my files, quit lj and mail lists and all?

Hmm... *ponders* Well, in my opinion, it wouldn't be necessary to quit LJ, erase files, etc. Even if they find out you're into slash, I don't think you'll be turned down for the gov't job. The gov't (I'd imagine) is looking for people with a sound mind; they wanna make sure that the whoever they're hiring doesn't have "skeletons in their closest" such as a history of crime or unhealthy habits or insanity... blah blah blah. With that in mind, I don't think your interest in slash would qualify for dismissal. You do have a sound mind, right? You're not crazy? ...Good! :P
So, that's my opinion. I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck and I hope you get the job!! :D

Yeah, I think you're right... besides, I'm not ashamed of my preferences. For me, slash is a genre like any other. I just found out other people might not think that way when I saw a number of slash/yaoi-hater communities around.
Well, it doesn't matter anyway, since I'm not craz...wait a minute! (hahaha, just kidding!)
