First off, thank you SO MUCH for writing a story for me. I can't wait to see what it is. I hope you have fun writing, as that's what Yuletide is all about!
General things:
There aren't many things that I don't like in fic. I'm one of those who will buy anything if you sell it to me well. That said, I'm a total sucker for certain tropes, like pretend girl/boyfriends, pining, satisfying endings (something that makes sense for the story, not necessarily happy endings).
I'm a fan of Slash, Femslash and Het. All relationships are awesome.
Kinks I"m not fond of: anything involving bodily fluids, bdsm, bondage.
Specific requests
#1 Political Animals
I love everyone in the Barrish/Hammond family. Even Bud, which I was not expecting. However, my favorite is TJ. I would love to explore TJ's character more. We've seen him at his low points, but what about the high points? How is Douggie a part of that (Because the two of them are pretty dependent on each other in general)?
Elaine once mentioned that TJ was outed against his will when Bud was president, so how did that happen? How did the family react?
Basically, anything that explores the bonds within the family. And no, I'm not opposed to TJ/Douggie slash. They are obviously very close.
#2 Bomb Girls
I am absolutely in love with Betty. I cannot even tell you how much. I want her to have a happy ending with a house of her own and a girl of her own so badly. I want some good Betty/Kate relationship development. I would love to explore Kate's feelings for Betty, whether you think that shakes out into a romance or just into friendship, either before the end of S1 or after.
I would also like to see Betty and Gladys being awesome together. I think they make great BFFs, and would rule the factory together. Let's face it, they already do.
Mostly what I want out of Bomb Girls fic is something that explores the various types of relationships between all the girls, and how they stretch and break and mend. I love them all to pieces.
#3 Captain Marvel (2012)
How much do I love Colonel Carol Danvers? Let me count the ways... I'm slowly catching up with several years of Ms. Marvel and Avenger comics, but I'm completely head over heels for Carol in the new Captain Marvel.
There are so many amazing women in the new book that I don't know where to start.
I ship Carol/Helen like mad, and I think they are completely adorable hopping through time together, and trying to one-up each other. Pretty sure anything that happens between them is going to be a competition for something. I also adore the Banshee Squad, and there is a lot of space to fill in the early volumes when they're trying to fight their way out of their island. But also, does Carol ever look them up later? What does she find?
Anything involving Carol being the best (because she is) would make me happy. And I wouldn't be opposed to cameos from Carol's modern day friends (*cough*TonyandSteve*cough*), though I really do want the focus to be on her.
#4 Avengers RPF
Basically I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS HELICARRIER.
Pretty sure the Avengers set was one of the best ever, so what happened there? What went on behind the scenes of the press tours?
The one thing I do ask is to please respect any current significant others. Anything else is fair game.
