The same stickiness slid down her chin as she viciously bit her lips to keep her from crying out. It was the longest night of her life. To Lena, her soul was destroying itself, like a giant star that turns into a black hole.
Her feet slapped the earthen ground painfully; she welcomed the ache. Something inside of her was screaming, “SEE WHERE LOVE HAS GOTTEN YOU?”
