My roomate and I will start lining up for the Wii with another LAFS student/friend/gray box co-conspirator and or classically trained fiend (that's a Nintendo fan for the uninitiated in geek speak)at the local Best Buy in Los Feliz at 10:00 pm. This is take two for my roomate Jesse Simpson and I in our search to obtain what could be Nintendo's

yo i just got back from Best Buy with Wii and Trauma Center in hand. Component cables and other games still in the mail.

I don't even like video games...

I'm guessing you didn't get screwed over by Best Buy -- though some of the longest waiting people did.

I joined the line at the Los Feliz best buy myself at about 6:30 on the 19th. There were only about 35 or so people for the 97 units that the store promised to have. Sounded pretty good. But things got ugly when everyone learned (maybe around 7:20am) that there would be a RAFFLE for the wii, if more than 97 showed up, and that anyone there by 8 would get a raffle ticket.

I just want to say how fsck'd up that policy is -- they potentially screwed the most hardcore fans.

I just hope the little kid with the 'Nintendo Fanboy' sign taped to his shirt got one. I got my Wii, but that kid still hadn't gotten one at a point where very few were left.

We actually dodged the Best Buy bullet by going to Circut City instead where there was no bullshit raffle. The Wii is amazing though aint it!
