I don't argue that, and even stated it was an op-ed piece. I hate any extreme, including both this article and the vitriol pumped out on the far right by Michael Savage et al.
Do you hate the NYT because they published what is clearly the opinion of one person? I don't see any attempt to pass that off as fact, nor any indication that this author speaks for the entire organization.
So, at one time the changeover happened in March, right? Why did it change? Maybe advances in technology would allow us to push the changeover another four weeks?
Done through rule of law, of course. The point here being that delaying a transition for anachronistic reasons isn't necessary. British Gov't makes the transition almost immediately. Then again 12 Downing Street is rather smaller...
