Thank you, so much, for your comments. I definitely appreciate them. Especially on Christine, because I'm always a bit worried she got too snarky somewhere in my reboot, so it's nice to see someone else (particularly someone with a fair grasp on the character herself) approve of her ( ... )

Oooo, a Sulu to pet! Ok, not pet, but to squee over. Yeah, they should definitely hang out. There may be a lot of staring at the walls, but maybe they'll find a common interest. ;)

Argh, I wish I could think of what to say sometimes when I see your Lena. :/ Sometimes I see a post someone puts up and my answer comes right into my head. Other times, I keep coming back to it, but I've got nothing. I promise to work on that though. I'll probably tag her with Chris, so they can be Team Med Bay. :D

Eeee, yes, I aprove of both of these things. I'll try to throw up something for Lena that's more "hey, we're just gonna hang out in medical and snark" at some point in the near future. ♥

I'm superbad at critique, jsyk. Because I very much have a tendency to flail and just go OMG I LOVE YOU YAY. Which I do ( ... )

Aha, "me accidentally words." That doesn't make any sense. Which is excellent. I just love you so much.

Thank you, for all of this. It's really nice when others think the XI/TOS blending is paying off, because I do try to work with that. Especially with Christine, to keep her from just, like, going off and being crazy. I don't have to work with it for Lena, though, especially when she's threading with you, because, what the hell, they're suddenly old men. The epic BFFery must continue and mount in trouble, yes.

And, awwww, as much as your Sulu-block is sort of weird, I'm glad Chekov likes him. And, yes, their banter works very well. Thank you, in part, for that. Because, hey-looo, awesome small Russian. ♥♥

"Me accidentally words" is a play on that old internet meme. I accidentally the whole thing. I tend to use it when I leave out words - which is why I edited my comment, because I'd left out a word and it bugs me when I do that.

BUT YES. I think sometimes people forget that the people in XI are supposed to be able to grow into being their TOS counterparts. I mean, obviously apart from the 'verse with Scotty, I haven't played with Christine all that much, but I have thread-stalked a bit (especially because, y'know, picking up Chekov)and Christine just works, if that makes any sense. Obviously she'd be a bit more difficult to XI-ize, considering her whole one off-screen line, but I think you're doing a splendid job with her ( ... )

Ah. I'm so bad with memes. >_< I can handle the Russian Reversal joke and that's about it. (Sulu suggests he can use it to claim he inwented Russia, by the way. I don't believe him.)

I have endless love for both that paragraph on Christine and the one of Lena and Mags. Because it means the world to me that you see good things being produced by me, because I know you've got such a good grasp of TOS and I really love and respect that about you. ♥

Your cooking is sound and your logic delicious.

Which means I love all your muses and want to have their babies.

Christine Chapel
You're going to have to excuse me while I flail. I love your Chris, I really do. We didn't get to see much of her in TOS, and even less of her in the reboot, but what we did see you took and ran with and created one of the most amazing muses I've had the pleasure of threading with. Would you care for some examples? No? TOO BAD! >:D

"Precisely. I'm more efficient when I'm happy, as is the case with a lot of humans. And sometimes happiness can be found doing... silly things.

[Smiling, she extends the tray of cookies she's been carrying around. There's an assortment, since she's more aware than anyone of particular dietary needs aboard the ship.] So, please, Mister Spock, have a cookie."

I think that was the wonderful moment when Christine absolutely and completely won over Spock (and, by extension, me). It was so wondefully, illogically logical that we were both baffled into compliance in a way only Christine could manage.

Jim KirkOh man, I threaded with your lovely and amazing Jim ONCE. ONCE, D, ONCE. And I fell ( ... )

Rambly, yes. Annoying, no. nurse_cchapel November 22 2010, 06:19:58 UTC
Okay, I kind of want to burst into tears now, because, omg, why so sweet and perfect, Tal? That's not fair.

"It was so wondefully, illogically logical that we were both baffled into compliance in a way only Christine could manage." - That is so beyond sweet, you know. Because she was just being her. That was a just a Chapel moment. I had no idea it had such a great effect. She'll have to be Chapelier more oft-- oh, wait. She can't get any Chapelier. But, still. It's so appreciated.

And Jim does really hate his glasses, okay? It wasn't like he was trying to be funny or anything. He's even grumbling (adorably) about it right now because he hates them so much.

It takes a decent Kirk (or Scotty, but that's not you) I must say, to make Lena her most Kelley-ish. So she absolutely sparkles with that weird warmth and confidence that Kelley's Bones had when she gets to thread with your Jim. I am so thankful for the opportunity to play around with their dynamic, and I am so happy that you seem to enjoy it as much as I do ( ... )
