For the most part I enjoy your Jim. Occasionally I think he can be an asshole though. Excessively that is....even for Jim. I think maybe you play up the argumentative side of his personality a bit too much sometimes?

While Jim is certainly very argumentative when he thinks he's right (and sometimes even when he knows he isn't), I'm currently not aware of him being excessively argumentative. But hey, that's what these memes are for, right?

It would help me a lot if you were able to give me a few examples of situations where you've perceived him being superfluously asshole-ish or argumentative, since it's hard to know exactly what it is I need to take an extra look at when it comes to his characterization from a very general critique.

I thought for a long time that no one knew how to play a Kirk because there were so many really bad ones around. I like how you manage to bring out his personality without making him look dumb. My crit would be that it seems you only really have him play with a handful of muses so maybe open him up more?

Yes, I know and willingly admit that I mostly play with a very small group of other muses. It's partially a conscious choice as, well, Jim seems to attract a lot of weird and catch a good deal of flack.

Another reason is that I'm a very plot-driven RP'er. I love creating and playing out larger plots, and while I do enjoy random threads, I mostly do them when there's a lull in my regular verses.

If you'd like to play with him, you're welcome to throw me a PM and we'll figure something out (I promise, I don't bite. Those are just rumors. ;)). It doesn't have to be a huge plot or anything, I just like to have a general idea of what's going to happen in a thread.
