It's never easy to take a character with limited canonical background and really make them your own. For all that she appeared in TOS, Charlene might as well be an OC, since she only appeared as a minor minor side character in one episode.

You've taken one dilithium crystal specialist and made her your own. She's got loads of personality. It's nice to see a character whose writer isn't afraid to make her a little off-kilter, to play someone who's not conventionally Hollywood-hot, so to speak.

The Engineering thread, I think, was a good gateway to to start opening up and exploring the relationship between Scotty and his crew, and for that - thank you.

On a concrit note, I'd like to see more updates in Charlene's journal! I think there's a lot of potential that hasn't been explored yet, and I'd really like to get to know more about her. :)
