Visions of Darkness
These lyrics are inspired by the different visions people have in a story I've written. The first two stanza are from Cain's view, the third from Ambrose's and the final from Elliot's. This is the third one that I can almost hear music for... I hope I can manage to get the music down. I fought with a fifth stanza, but then I decided that it might give away too much of the plot, so that's been erased.
Visions of Darkness
A dream woke me in the night,
A memory of pain and sorrow.
A vision of one dark rite.
What will I see tomorrow?
When dawn comes, its shadows show
A ritual of dark design
What is it that she wants to know?
Another sees the sign.
In the sound of horses hooves
I hear cry from far away.
Pleading that through his fear moves,
He begs her for one more day.
I dream of some beast stalking
A maiden among the firs.
She runs by and I am gawking
Why do I seem to know her?
