Feel like I should mention this here, too:

I've officially started writing fic for, ahem, "Splinter" (let me continue to have my stupid joke, lol). This is probably a boon to everyone: once I start writing fic in a fandom, I usually stop being quite so obnoxiously vociferous about that fandom, which will be a relief to everyone over on tumblr (and possibly also to some other people, heh). Currently messing around with it a lot, but will be very happy to share a slightly more advanced version soon, I think. Or at least the beginning of it, which is the part I feel best about.

(I cut a weird apology for my weird second comment on your vid, here. I'm basically very bad at being a human being, which leads to a lot of weirdness, which leads to a lot of second-guessing, which leads to a lot of apologising, most of which is probably not actually helpful, and some of which may actually not even be warranted. It's absolutely wild that I'm trying to be a writer, considering the extreme patchiness of my mental model of human behaviour. And wow, look, I just replaced a weird apology with a weird explanation. Is that a good idea? Who the fuck knows, certainly not me. Is there a handbook for this?)

I am very easygoing, and enjoy hearing fannish thoughts in general. If something I made prompted you to share thoughts and opinions, I'm happy! I don't know Farscape, because I didn't make it very far with the show (too many bodily-function humor squicks on my part), but I LOVE Farscape vids, and have saved a number of them myself, even though I never really watched the show. There was one particular year at VVC where the vids were All Farscape All the Time, and that was fun! It was one of the earliest fannish shows available in 16:9 IIRC. So cinematic, compared to what had gone before. And it also happened toward the beginning of the era of DVDs. That show's particular vidding culture is endlessly interesting, even for someone who didn't watch it.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. You are welcome to natter at me about anything that you like. If I have some kind of issue, I'll tell you, but I'm generally happy to hear whatever fanpersons have to say.
