War and it's cost

Let me start and saying that I have always had a keen interest in history. Hell, I even spent some time in college trying to get a degree in it.  Even to this day, much to the dismay of friends and family, I still read and study history. Sounds like a very interesting read. If possible, when you are done with it, can I borrow said book? We do live relatively closely to each other these days and you could always get Diamond_Pick to kick my ass if I don't return it on time.

And if you haven't already read it, check out "The Rape of Nanking" by Iris Chang. Not very long but it is very informative and opened my eyes to some aspects of the war that are not covered too much in American schools and textbooks; what Japan was doing in Asia before and during WW2.
