It was really a wonderful moment! I desperately hope, however, that Gwen has a chance to talk to Merlin about Morgana PRIOR to the shit that goes down in 3x10 (would KILL if she spoke to Arthur, but know it's unlikely). Of course Gwen and Morgana aren't in the next episode, so it'd have to be early in 3x10...

LOL. Gaius is so their Dumbledore.

GWAINE AND MERLIN ARE THE CUTEST EVER. EXCEPT MAYBE GWEN AND MERLIN. OMG, IT'S TOO DIFFICULT TO CHOOOOOOOSE.

Love reading your thoughts on the ep Jen!

I enjoyed this epi so much! Not much squee but enjoyable. Plus we got to see our Gwennie do her own thang, away from Arthur. haha

Aw, thanks, bb! *hugs*

Yeah, definitely not a lot of squee, but it was a terrific set up episode.

Plus we got to see our Gwennie do her own thang, away from Arthur.

ALWAYS a plus. <3

I just keep thinking ever episode is an episode closer to episode ten... awww I loved the fact that Gwen found out about Morgana's true intentions this week as you said, it makes Gwen more apart of a storyline that isn't just related to Arthur!

I kind of thought the kiss was awkward... But, I'm holding out hope for better lip locks in future episodes! I also love the elements Gwaine is adding... and I don't know why but I found Merlin especially adorable in this episode <3

Oh, God, I know! LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. ADSJKA:LSJDSLKAJ

Aw, really? I thought the kiss was very short, casual, and sweet. A perfect reflection of where they are right now (FACEBOOK WOULD SAY THAT THEY'RE IN A RELATIONSHIP, JUST SAYIN').

There was so much awesomeness in this episode! You point out all of it and I just have to concur: Gwen DOING STUFF (spying! seeking advice from Gaius! being cute with Merlin!), Gwen and Morgana actually interacting in a story, Merlin and Gwaine being SO CUTE, Arthur asking if Gwen and Morgana were coming to the party...

It seemed like a lot of previous storylines were setting up this one, but OH HOW I WISH they could sustain this level of all the main characters interacting together and having interesting plot and character development moments!!! Episodes like this give me hope for the series...

Also: MORE GWAINE PLEASE!!! :D

Wasn't there? I mean the plot was all sorts of ridiculous (Uther believes in visions? Arthur needs to prove himself by going on a random quest? o_O), but the developments within this episode REALLY pushed EVERYONE forward (ESPECIALLY GWEN, OMG, MY BB).

- Arthur's line about someone very dear giving him the bracelet broke my heart. Arthur is going to be a MESS when he discovers what Morgana's been doing.

I've actually been rambling to several different people about how the show is totally heading to give Arthur a MAJOR issue with trust. Three of the four people he's closest to have been lying to him pretty consistently, about pretty major things. When we finally have all the reveals, we're going to be left with a twitchy, neurotic Once and Future King who can't get close to anyone. (Well obviously we won't, but if the show wanted to be literal about what is actually going on...)

Oh, God, you're right. This would actually be a PERFECT way to set up the L/G affair (not that I want it, but if they wanted to introduce it and make it seem PLAUSIBLE...). Arthur's so paranoid of Lancelot/Gwen that he alienates her and she ends up in Lancelot's arms as a result...

But the show sucks with character continuity, so I doubt that'll happen. XD

Huh...I didn't even think about that angle. In my head, it was more something that bound them more tightly together as she is the only person he can trust etc, but your thing plays really, really well too. Der someone should write that fic, cause it would be fascinating.

I saw that angle as well (she's the only one who's always been honest with him -- the only person he can trust), but I guess the triangle issue is in my head because I was just discussing it with someone last night. I imagine having to take care of a neurotic, paranoid king would take its toll on our poor bb. :-\
