So I have to wake up again in.. less than six hours, but seeing as I TOOK a nap less than six hours ago, I'm not exactly tired.
School's been hella busy lately. Schilit gave us the entire schpiel* on how our lives are going to consist of nothing but eating, sleeping, and doing homework during the next nine weeks (and in some cases, the sleeping doesn't even apply). And this is BEFORE she goes into her crazy psycho pre-AP phase. But somehow (as of last week) I ended up with straight A's. Of course, that's subject to change considering that I turned in three labs last week for physics and only had a 90.2, and I have a test in Calc on Wednesday which I need at least an 89 on to keep my A (I had an 89.6 as of the last test.)
[*Just a side-note.. the word schpiel in German means "game," which isn't even close to the definition we give it in English. Everyone I know uses that word to mean like "rant" or "discourse," and it really confuses the German people. Poor Germans.]
SAT scores came back, too. I didn't fare too poorly for my first time, I'm just hoping I can pull it up a bit more by the time I send my apps in. Especially the math, where I didn't even break 700... I'm a disgrace to math club...
I saw Horton Hears a Who on Thursday. I don't normally like kids' movies, but I think they really did a good job with this one. It was really cute and had a few good laughs. So overall, worth it.
Yesterday I learned how to make empanadas with a Cuban friend of mine. <3 empanadas... <3<3<3<3
And I'm off for another month or so.
