I fucking hate that shit. Or when they lie about it, after standing you up. It's like, "you already hurt me once, why not rub the salt in a little deeper please?"
It makes me feel like people think that I'm some cold-hearted bitch that only wants things my way. And it's totally not true. I'd rather you tell me the truth at the moment it happens. It's just easier for everyone.
I felt kind of selfish the first time it happened. But then I realized.. We made plans. It's not like it was a.. Y'know.
I call up and say 'hey come hang out', and they never show. Shit was planned in advance. One time, it was a month in advance that I had invited people over. There was NO WAY they could NOT have planned for it.
It just frustrates me. If you say yer gonna show up. Show up. Don't be a bitch 'bout it.
Sometimes things happen though and when they do, you don't always have a chance to inform the person right away. It's not because you're trying to be rude, it's just that it was so.. well, random or unexpected. Everyone's guilty of standing someone up at some point, to act as though it's never been done .. well, you see where I'm going with that.
The main thing to remember is that, if you do, apologize as soon as possible and just hope that they can understand. Real friends are understanding, at least they're supposed to be.
