Accosted in an elevator

Well, without a hello or a howdy do I was just told by a woman in an elevator that I should cut off my hair and donate it to charity. She then tells me how she did it. My response was "I hope it wasn't for Locks of Love." Her eyes widen and I know I've hit on the mark. I then tell her how LoL doesn't give hair to kids with cancer, how cancer isn't

Chalk this one up to "People are crazy. Especially random strangers who think they can get away with it." (Or worse, they can't help themselves).

I would have loved it if somebody would reply brightly to her, "Well, I did donate my pubic hair to charity!"

I have been there. I used to have hair down to the top of my behind. I'd get that "You should donate it!!!" crap all the time. My favorite was the, "your hair is perfectly straight, it would make a really good wig. Won't you think of the children!!!!???"

Ugh.

Good for you for telling her the truth and for not letting her get to you. People are crazy.
