I heard him get another girl's number on the phone one night so I broke up with him. Ever since then, I have always wanted to get back with him, but why? I HEARD him get her number, I should know better. What is it about him that I can't get away from? Maybe it's that he was my first love, or that I wanted to marry him. Who the hell knows, but

Well the one thing I can say about all this is that you will never ever ever get over a guy if you are still talking to him every day. I know you want to stay in contact with him b/c you don't want to lose his friendship, but if you truly want to get over the guy (in the romantice sense), you have to have some space to get over each other before things can change. If you break up with someone but then keep talking everyday without any time to become comfortable with what has happened, then of course you will feel like you still want to be with that person. I'm not saying that space and time will absolutely be the perfect solution, but it might help. If you guys really are meant to be together, then you will end up that way like he said, but if you really think you want to get over him, then take a step back for a little bit, hang out with your girlfriends (and maybe even some new guys), and see what happens!

I know that is exactly what I need to do and I've been trying to do it for like 3 months now. I just need to somehow NOT call him, or not answer his calls.
