Signals of sudden illness
Always call EMS- help victim rest comfortably
reassure victim
don’t give them food

Fainting
-position him/her on their back and elevate legs 8-10 inches if there is no head or back injury
Vomiting
-place victim on their side
Seizures
Don’t hold or restrain person or place anything between their teeth
Cushion Their head
Diebetic Emergency
-if conscious, give person food or fluid containing sugar

Heart Attack (signs)
-persistent chest pain/discomfort
-breathing difficulty
-changes in pulse or skin appearance

Treatment
-recognize signals
-tell victim to rest
-help them rest comfortably
-obtain information on their condition
-call local emergency
-Assist with medication, if prescribed
-monitor
-CPR if heart stops or breathing stops

bites and stings
bites from spiders snakes
stings from wasps, bees, hornets
