I've just gotten a craving for a young orphaned Bilbo being taken in by any member of the Company and raised with dwarrows. I've read a couple really good ones but I need more! Please help a girl out with her fluff fux. I'll even take a little angst but a happy ending is oreferable. I have enough angst in rl. And no making it better any time soon.

Yes please! I would love to see some cute!Bilbo raised by a dwarf. I can imagine pretty much any member of the company doing it, but would be interesting to see Dori and Nori raising him.

Oh wow that grabbed my muse's attention... any preference for who should be the adopted family, or potential pairings? And how do you feel about messing with the timeline?

I'm suddenly picturing the company getting turned down by the burglar Gandalf suggested, then finding a little orphan Bilbo following them through the Shire...

Or one of the company travelling through the Shire to go to Ered Luin and getting their heart captured by baby!Bilbo. Possibly Nori 'accidentally' steals him when he notices that none of the hobbits want to take in an extra baby just after the fell winter...

Oh! Or Bungo and Belladonna are off on an adventure that ends badly, leaving little Bilbo in an Erebor that never fell and now the dwarves have to decide what to do with him.

Yeah, I'll probably end up writing all variations at some point, but in regards to your request is there something in particular you want to see?

I would love any and all of those. I have just fallen in love with young Bilbo and trying to be dwarvish for his family. Go ahead and do any of it. All of it. I will read it and be ecstatic.

Now you have me thinking about Bilbo being homeless in the Shire and it being his Uncle Longo living in Bag End that they asked to be a burglar and Bilbo being like ten or so and bragging about taking care of himself and how he knows how to survive without a home but secretly wanting them to care about him, finally. And I see him hiding in the hedges under the windows so he sneaks behind them as they leave and scare them by popping out and knowing what it is they are doing. AHH!! I didn't have any of this until you asked!!

But yes, any and all of those options. Wherever the inspiration takes you.

That was that, Thorin supposed, although he had to admit that he'd been tempted. At least the child was eager to go with them. Of course, he'd underestimated his nephews ( ... )

It had quickly become apparent that Dori took great delight in mother-henning Bilbo, who in turn lapped up the attention. Nori was also rather protective, though a glance at how both Ri brothers treated Ori showed that they were just staying true to form. It didn't hurt that Bilbo was indeed small and sneaky, which Nori only encouraged by teaching him how to pick both locks and pockets. The fauntling was reluctant to actually steal from people, but eager to learn anything he could ( ... )

I'm still squealing about Nori and Dori being playful and doting together, and oh, does Bilbo know his letters yet? Ori could teach him, if he doesn't!

Aww, baby Bilbo, promised a home at he end, same as the Dwarves!

“Bilbo,” Thorin finally spoke, crouching down to where the fauntling was sitting between the princes, “I'm not going to send you away. You belong with us now, I promise. But,” he fixed Bilbo with a stern look, “from now on when one of us tells you to do something, you have to do it. Whether that's staying somewhere, or hiding, or whatever. You have to promise to do what we say. We might not always be able to protect you if you run head first into danger. Do you understand ( ... )
