Aka Haldir has total history with dwarves. Aka Haldir totally had a love/hate relationship with this adorable/enfuriating/oblivious dwarf who liked to tease him named Kili. And then Kili went and got himself killed and Haldir is still hurt by the time he says the above quote.

Anon can write the backstory, or their reunion in the undying lands after Haldir dies at Helm's deep.
