I have to admit that Bruckner doesn't really do it for me although I love Brahms- strange how he drops in and out of fashion.
He was huge in my undergrad days (remember Yes's 'Cans and Brahms'?) then not so much until quite recently but I'm glad to see people are listening again.

Dad's a big Bruckner fan, especially symphony 7 I think it is, it comes under the heading of "enjoyable when on the radio/cd player, not something I'd actively choose", but that applies to a lot of the composers he likes :) Don't know the Yes thing I'm afraid, not sure if Brahms is "back" exactly, but they do like a varied range of composers at these concerts which is always good, lots of good concerts coming up next year, including Beethoven's 9th and lots of english music (Vaughn Williams, Moeran, Warlock, Butterworth etc), need to save up! :)

Ooooh, we just sang Bruckner's Te Deum in March with our Oratorio Choir ... it is *really hard*, but so rewarding when you get it right ... such an amazing and cool sound :)
