There were three opening bands. Three, for a show starting at 9:15pm. Somewhere at the beginning of the third band's set, I began to wonder if anything was worth this; fortunately, it so totally was.

I just found out about them recently and I really like them! Plus John Roderick is so personable and funny it make shows extra fun.

Yeah, I understand the concept of opening bands, and even have discovered some of my favorite bands that way (Common Rotation, Tally Hall), but really, I think there should be a limit. No more than two per show! That's often too much anyway.

I say, no more than 1 per show! *G*

(thanks for putting up with my rant; they really oughta make it easier. not sure how... perhaps sloping floors so you can actually SEE the band, even if you're in back?)

Aw, man, I hate that I missed this! Stupid knee!

But next time for sure. And Doughty on Thursday, I'm so excited! If you're working in HP as usual, I can give you a ride up again of course...and we should probably think about getting tickets for that.

Oh yeah, one of the things I forgot to say is that at the end of the show John promised that they'd be back in Chicago soon, so there's that.

I am working as usual, so that should be fine. Looks like ordering the tickets online is fairly straightforward, so we could probably just all order them independantly? Unless you'd rather do something else. Also, I confirmed Thursday for the Ok Go concert, so we should probably go ahead and get our tickets; they're getting so damn popular!
