and bring it to life with electric shock

Last night I went to see TMBG play at TLA in Philly, and man, was that a good show.

Pictures, including pictures of the setlists (1)(2)
This was the first time I've taken pictures at a show with my new camera, and I was very pleased with the result!
Videos: Marty's strobe action, Danny's Solo, Dan's Istanbul Solo

being egged on by Flans who announced that Marty would ruin his best drum set for us
Heehee, they did that at my show too.

Sounds great! Lots of exciting songs played. Yay, Puppet Head! How does that one sound live? The first time I was at the 9:30 Club, some guy in the audience kept requesting it, but Flans protested that his voice didn't go that high anymore.

Yeah, apparently they've been playing Maybe I Know on this tour. I was surprised to hear it as well.

Puppet Head is really good live! I was trying to remember if I've ever heard it before, but I don't know. Flans' voice goes plenty high. :D

Aw, thanks for thinking of me! It feels so weird that you're going to see TMBG without me, heh. (And vice-versa.)

It sounds like it was such a great show-but I especially love how you got to chug Danny's beer. :D Your pictures did turn out really nice. (The weirdly-lit TLA dance poses did freak me out a little, though. :P ) Looking forward to the videos, too!

Yeah, it was so weird going to a show without you there! Eventually we will reconvene, I know it. :D

Nice write-up and your photos are fantastic. Either you have a very still hand or your camera just rocks.

I met k1cup on South street fairly early in the afternoon, since we were very paranoid about getting a spot in the front row. We ended up waiting for a while before anyone else showed up, and my feet kept turning into blocks of ice (in between warm-up breaks at the Starbucks nearby), but it was worth it, of course.

Thanks for being such a good sport to my paranoia. I felt so bad about your feet. At least you won't have to wait around for the Beacon Theater show.

Hey, no problem, I'm always up for a little excessive waiting in line to make sure I get into the front row. :D

And thanks about the pictures! I thought it was hilarious that we had quite a few near-duplicates in our sets. Yours turned out really well too!

Man, you were that close to me at the show? I had no idea, and I didn't recognize you if I did see you. Did you see me? :p

I somehow don't think I saw you either! That's pretty crazy!
