SCARY STORY! And some other college stuff
Storytimmmmmmeeee.
So last night I watched 2001: A Space Odessey in the basement of one of the dorms with a bunch of my friends. Seriously, that movie is so weird, freaky, boring, intriguing, long and WEIRD. ....I didn't get it. XD Hal is super scary though! One of my friend has his computer set so that when he turns it off it says, "Just what do you think you are doing, Dave?"
Anywho, after the movie I was the only person who had to go back to my dorm, which is about a ten-minute walk away from the one I was at. I was going to go by myself only then my friend Katie was all, "I don't want you walking alone, Cari and I will go with!" So the three of us were walking back to my dorm. To get to my dorm you have to go down this sort of woodsy path through campus and it gets all creepy at night...
There were these drunk guys on the path a couple of years older than us who started walking behind us down the path. They were all, "Hey, ladies, want a beer? How come you're ignoring us? Can't you hear us? You don't have to feel threatened, I'm a homosexual!" It was freaky!! We just sort of kept walking and ignored them and eventually one of the guys said to the others, "Hey, they're uncomfortable, let's leave them alone." So it could've been worse but it was still scary!! Cuz the three of us, um, we're three little freshmen, all under about five feet five inches tall and the guys were older than us and quite a bit taller....eeeek. SO SO glad Cari and Katie were with me or I would've been even more freakin' terrified. When we got to my dorm I told Katie and Cari to walk a different way back to their dorm! Katie texted me when they got back so I knew they were okay.
So yeah. First experience with drunk people at college....would not like to repeat. 0_0
I feel lke making a list...
Stuff I like about college:
-Classes. Classes are frickin awesome, my teachers are hilarious and great.
-The amount of time I have to get stuff done
-Campus ministries! So excited about this
-Martial arts club. Excited about that as well!
-My room
-My roommate, for the most part
-My friends
-Having stuff to do in the evenings
-Club meetings with free food. =D
-My advisor
-My peer mentor
-Nice upperclassmen
-Meeting new people
-Having someone from my high school here
-Being able to visit my mom on campus
Stuff I don't like about college:
-Homework. It's evil.
-The water pressure in my shower
-Missing home
-Not having a microwave in my room
-My roommate, some of the time
-People who party all the time
-My CA who doesn't care what we do
-Waking up early.
-Keeping my phone in my pillowcase and waking up to a vibrating pillow because that's my alarm. 0_0
-Afternoons when I'm done with class before everyone else and have nothing but homework to do and feel lonely. =/
....Can't think of anythng else I don't like. ^^ But yeah. that's kind of a summary of my first week. =)
