treh- you may be getting fees if you use your debit card to withdraw money from an atm owned by a bank other than the one that issued you your card/holds your account. is that what you are referring to?

i mean when you buy something and you swipe your card. i heard that if you enter your pin number you get charged and if you just hit "credit" you won't.
