There is an excellent article here about the Saudi situation. People in america do't realize how complez politics gets in a monarchy. There are some 5000 saudi princes all of whom are immensely wealthy and desperate to hold on to power. I guess you could just as well say our intelligence agencies are just as equally biased as the rest of us. That's not a good thing. However, so long as the people in government are over the age of 45, I don't think anything's changing. Stupid old coots.

As for your other news, that's pretty cool. The future is carbon nanowires.

The CIA was never very good at its job, and its apparently downright awful in the modern world, good thing its an election year and people will rally around bold leaders who cry for change...

Maybe we should have novelists run the CIA :-) They'd figure out a chain of command that makes sense, no?

People rally around leaders that they like. Bold and crying for change be damned.
