you forget that because media in this country is a consumer-driven industry, they have to pander to what people want to read about. And gay marriage, as highly overrated and inane as it is as a topic of debate, is far more interesting (for reasons I can't seem to understand) than tax cuts or tax hikes or welfare reform. Because we've heard the rhetoric before, and none of it seems to be changing.

Gay marriage is a personal issue. Tax cuts are not. You do the math.

Applause to WSJ for not having gay marriage as their cover story.

If mainstream media was talking about how awful our tax system is half as much as it talked abotu abortion, people might start caring. Media drives public awareness, not the other way around.
