Brava! This was a really wonderful story, beginning to end. I especially liked just how clear it was that Lestrade had figured out exactly what happened. In his own way, he also agrees that Milverton needed more justice than the law could give him. He's definitely not stupid, and he's got his own dark side, and it's always interesting to see that come out a bit.
Thanks for mentioning this story. I'm really glad I read it.
Ahh, Lestrade. Lestrade is my darling, I hate it when he's made out to be incompetent. The original story is quite ambiguous on the matter of whether or not Lestrade gets the joke: the Russian series decided to err on the side of stupidity; I'd rather give Lestrade, and especially Rupert Graves' version, the benefit of the doubt. He knows what's going on -- and he also knows -- well, yeah, as you said -- when more justice is needed than what the law can provide.
This had me hooked, even being tired from work I had to sit and read it all in one go this evening! Very enjoyable action, I love BAMF John and how delightfully giggly and euphoric and colluding in crime John and Sherlock are when they really get going together, ha.
Oh, gosh, thank you! I'm glad it was engaging! And, well, everyone knows that the best friends are the ones who go on high-stakes burglaries together... XD
Well done! Very well done - kept me glued to the screen, nearly breathless, through the entire story. Thanks for sharing your unlimited talent. I really enjoyed the trip!
Unlimited may be a bit much... XD But thank you, so much! I've not exactly been an afficianado of writing action scenes before, so it's definitely gratifying to hear it kept you hooked!
Oh, I've been trying to find this one for ages. I think I read the first part when you first posted it, but I had saved it to my Nook under the wrong author name. I pestered the wrong author for the second part, and he (Copperbadge) found a link for me, and then I neglected to follow up on that at the time. But that gave you time to write something else completely, apparently, and now I'm attempting to save it down to my Nook again to read while I'm on vacation. Looking forward to getting to read the whole thing, finally. :)

Thank you very much, again!
