I hate missing the pre-game skate too. I also hate missing the three stars of the game. I always get to every hockey game an hour and half early.

Warm up is great. There aren't many people there and you can hear the skates slicing through the ice and the pucks hitting the posts. The music is usually better than what they play during the game. All of the players are on the ice and you can get some great pictures. Now I want to go to a game. Too bad the Panthers are the closest team.

How's Dad doing?

My dad is doing well. He decided to take his happy meds again and it has done wonders for his mental wellness. He has admitted he is angry at his situation, so hopefully that is the beginning of acceptance so he can start being his happy self again.

That's good to hear. I know it's sometimes hard to admit you need meds to regulate how you feel, but when they make a noticeable difference, it's hard to argue.

I IM'd with my brother yesterday. He's doing well. He has a small dvd library and he trades dvds with other soldiers. He's got books and snacks and pretty much everything he needs. He's set to come home on leave in May and he will be home for good sometime in November. Thanks for asking :)
