I know what that is like. That is sad, I'm so sorry, and I hope that she comes to her senses soon.

Things always work out right in the end.

If things aren't working out right, then it's obviously not the end.

I love you, boogerpie. I doooo believe I shall pick up my cellular telephone and call you.

Thank you for your thoughts about being an EMT. You're one huh? I forgot about that. I've always had an interst in being a doctor/firefighter/police officer or something of that sort. I like the rush of things, blood and guts. I find it interesting and an adrenline rush. In my little knowlage of what levels of parametics are. You are correct that I wouldn't want to just be an EMT. I would want to get higher and be able to do things. :) Not just drive the car. I haven't made and hard core desisions yet. But I am thinking of preparing myself to do something like taking those classes in the summer (if they have them) or fall ( ... )

Being an EMT does not require math...at all. I really don't consider it a "hard" profession so to speak. There is a lot to know about though, i.e. patiet assessment, the different types of shock, what to do with the patient in certain situations, how to stay safe on a scene and legally, oxygen therapy, childbirth, ect. I love the excitement of the job. Things are fast paced (except for when people aren't getting effed up then you just get to kick back and get paid for waiting for someone to get hurt). The first thing that you need to to it get your basic first aid and cpr out of the way. I don't know how exposed you are to that kind of thing but everything is just simple knowledge. From there you need to get your advanced CPR or first responder and THEN you can take the EMT course. It is not a class that you can just skimp by either. You have to do the work, if you get below I think its either a 75 or 80% then you can't become an EMT. Well just becase think about it, would you want to be in someone's care who only received a ( ... )

What I am not really understanding is why wouldn't you want being an EMT/paramedic a full time job. Both you and Nin said it. I'm not saying I would want to be this untill I died. But I would consider this to be a career, just like being a nurse would be. Am I missing something? Basicly I am wanting to do something in my life, my boyfriend will be going into the air force soon and he will have a job. We are engaged and going to get married soon. I am not going to be in a situation where I can be in school all my life. I need a job that I can take anywhere. Be something I enjoy aswell as not spending my life or my pocket book in school. I figured being an EMT/paremdic would be a good career choice since it is a "portable" job, it would be something I enjoy and something that would not take me five years to school in and then try and find a voacation that I could use my degree. I am thankful for your imput and your patence with all my questions and concerns, aswell as my spelling. :) I need to know all of this before I know what I'm ( ... )
