James wandered down to the Great Hall after dropping his books in the general vicinity of his dorm room. Once he arrived in the corridor outside of the Great Hall, he noticed Emma sitting on the floor. He smiled pleasantly and went over to her.
"Hello there, Emma." He waved and leaned up against the wall. "Ready to go dine on muffins? I hear the elves have developed a special gingerbread one for the holidays."
"Hello, James," she said, looking up at him. She was still entranced by the holiday spirit that had seemed to suddenly take over the castle.
"Of course. I'm looking forward to this gingerbread one." Emma positively loved the holidays and the scent of gingerbread was just one of the things she loved about it. She pushed herself up off the ground.
James grinned and held out a hand to offer Emma support.
"Yeah, the gingerbread ones are particularly delicious. They tried peppermint at one point... I put an end to that." He made a face of disgust and then smiled. "Shall we head to the kitchens?"

"Peppermint belongs in things like cocoa. Not muffins," she said with a laugh, especially at the look on his face. "Let's head down."
Smiling, Emma walked along with him. "So, has the Chirstmas spirit gotten to you yet?"
